IAF’s Agnipath recruitment scheme saw almost 4,000 people enroll

According to IAF, people start registrations on the Agnipath recruitment scheme

According to officials, over 3,800 people have applied for the Indian Air Force’s Agniveer Vayu program under the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme. The online registration gateway went live at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The Indian Air Force is conducting these registrations in order to participate in its Agniveer Vayu program. In the first phase, the online portal went live on June 24th and will end on July 5th.

Earlier in the day, the Air Force disclosed details about its two-phase recruiting procedure as well as its registration timeline. It also declared that the web portal was now open to the public.

Phase one registration will expire on July 5, and the online exam session will take place the following week, according to the plan.

The program also said that phase II would begin in August and would go through November. The results and enrolment will be announced in the following month, with the course starting at the end of the year.

According to the online portal, only male candidates are eligible to apply for Agniveer Vayu. Candidates may be civilians or NC, according to the online application form. To be a civilian, you must be single.

The Indian Army and Navy have previously made their respective recruitment dates and methods public, with both forces’ registration periods set to begin in July.

Agneepath (Agnipath) Scheme 2022

“It is anticipated that this year there will be 46,000 Agniveer recruits within the armed forces.”

The Agnipath program is a four-year program for potential participants (also known as Agniveers) aged 17 and a half to 21. The Tour of Duty was intended to be a trial operation with 10,000 soldiers and 100 officers. The Modi administration publicly announced it earlier this month. The regiment-based recruiting system will be phased out, and the average age of the armed forces will be reduced. After four years of duty, only 25% of agniveers will be selected for the regular cadre of the Indian military services.

This strategy has proven to be divisive and unpopular across numerous socio-economic groupings. Its implementation, as well as the employability of people who are not accepted into the normal cadre, are both questioned.

Since its announcement, there have been violent protests against it. To appease protesters, the Modi administration has implemented a number of measures, including a 10% reservation in job vacancies for Agniveers, an age relaxation policy, and an increase in the recruitment of female sailors for the Navy under the program.
